Master of Commerce (M.Com)

   Master of Commerce (M.Com) is a postgraduate degree program that focuses on advanced studies of commerce, business, and management. The program is designed to provide students with a deeper understanding of commerce-related subjects such as accounting, economics, finance, marketing, and taxation. M.Com program is an ideal choice for students who have completed their undergraduate degree in commerce or business administration and wish to pursue further education in the same field. The program is also suitable for working professionals who wish to enhance their skills and knowledge for better career prospects.

   M.Com programme was started in the college in the year 2005. The duration of the M.Com programme of study is two academic years with four semesters. Total number of courses (other than audit courses) for the whole M.Com Programme is 25. Specialisation Elective of the programme is Finance. Total credit for the programme shall be 80 (eighty), of which 60 credits are for core courses, 16 credits for elective courses and 4 credits for audit corses. Audit courses are mandatory for pass and completion of Programme. The credits will not be counted for evaluating the overall SGPA & CGPA.

 Admission

  Admission to the M.Com programme is conducted through Post Graduate Centralised Admission Process (UG CAP) of the Calicut University. Online registration for the admission starts in the month of June every year through the Admission of Portal of Directorate of Admission(DoA) of Calicut University. Admission to the programme is conducted in the college during the months August and September on the basis of the allotment done by the University.

Eligibility for Admission

  Any candidate who has passed B. Com or BBA (earlier BBS) degree of University of Calicut or B. Com, BBA or BBS degree of any other University or institutes in any state recognised by UGC or AICTE and approved by University of Calicut with minimum of 45% marks or equivalent grade is eligible for admission. OBC and SC/ST students are eligible for mark/grade relaxation as per the University rules. In the case of B. Com (Honours) and B. Com (Professional) students, the minimum eligibility for admission is 50% for all categories of students.
