Department of Arabic: The social history of Kerala during 1970’s is particularly characterized by the beginning of immigration to the Gulf States seeking better employment opportunities. The traditional Arabic studies which was prevailed and practiced in the erstwhile Malabar were more or less concentrated on religious instructions during those days. To make use of the employment possibilities in Gulf States the working knowledge of Modern Arabic has become an essential factor and hence the visionaries of education in Kerala during those days wished to start imparting instruction in Arabic along with the very inception of the College itself. This was behind the commencement of Department of Arabic in the year 1972 for uplifting the socially and educationally backward community in and around the east while Ernad Taluk.

Eligibility
Candidates who have passed (Eligible for Higher Studies) the HSE of the Kerala State Board of Higher Secondary Examination or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto are eligible for admission.
